Lucky Rice by Danielle Chang
Rating: 4.5/5 Stars
My culture is a big part of who I am today. Many assume that I am just Hispanic, I am. However many do not know I am Cuban - Chinese besides Puerto Rican. Most people are flabbergasted and then proceed to ask questions that are not that easy to answer. See my Chinese culture is still brand new for myself. I am still learning but at the moment my favorite thing is to learn about is food. Who doesn't love food?
I love it!
So that is why I decided to review Lucky Rice and have a unique cookbook.
Lucky Rice is a collection of over a 100 recipes that range from curry to simple white rice. I love how each section is broken up into different categories, to make it simple for an individual to choose. The only issue I have with the book, is not really the cookbook's fault. Since I live in an Hispanic and Caribbean neighborhood, Asian ingredients are hard to come by. The closest store is "Stop and Shop" but even there it is sparingly.
However I recommend this cookbook to anyone who loves some good Chinos and hey they even teach you how to make some good steamed rice. Recommended for all!
