Poetry: deMISE

A poem I wrote about even though some may believe you are meant to be! You may not be and that is okay. It was my first try at a Sonnet which Shakespeare is know best for! Enjoy & Comment.

deMISE

Behold the two souls dropping and rising
Awake the lost spirit of my demise
Breaking myself into halves and dying
I leave as your sorrows encase and inscribe

Our love was once the reason for living
You kneel at my feet but please arise
I cannot forgive your lust and lying
I see your mistakes and they were unwise

Why did you have to go and be selfish?
Was I not what you craved to cherish?
Your soft enticing touch was what got her

One must insist that this was our cold fate
Fire was not meant to be water’s soulmate
We were the storm that destroys the waters.
