Story Excerpt: Untitled

Here is a story idea I got during class! It's completely unedited and random.

*

I ran down the marble steps with the tulle filled in my palms. My breathe hitched with every clack of my heels. Wound chocolate curls masked with hairspray smacked my face during my haste escape. White silk mudded with dirt when I couldn't grip anymore. Orchids trailed behind me and I reached the car. The door thruster open and I collected myself into the vehicle.

“Go”

Surprised at my voice and attitude he widen his eyes.

“Mac, you sure?”

Was I sure that I was leaving? Yes. I fidgeted with the rose gold band on my left hand. He noticed and grabbed my hand.

“Mac, it's your wedding day”

“I know”

Runaway brides were common. They got cold feet and knew that they were making a mistake. However I probably should have left before the ceremony not after.
