Book Review: Lola by Melissa Scrivner Love

Lola by Melissa Scrivner Love

Rating: 4/5 Stars

Wow. First if you are like me then you are instantly drawn to books with strong female heroines, then this book is for you! Lola is a telling tale of a young woman who has the world fooled by her innocent like persona when deep down inside she is this ravenous creature ready to take the world by storm. The protagonist Lola, is in charge of her "family" (a gang) but she allows her boyfriend Garcia, to be the face. The story goes on whirlwinds of events but it comes down to Lola a complex character who is constantly faced with task that displays her contrasting attributes. As usual I will not give the ending away, just anticipate a return of Lola.

Warning there are triggers for violence, drug and sexual abuse.

I recommend this book for anyone over the age 18 due to such triggers.
