Story Excerpt: Rebirth - Chapter 3

That dark look clouding into her eyes again and she shrugged. It seems to be a patterned with her. Whenever he needed some type of information it be best if he didn’t ask her. “You was dying … I saved you” Monotonous voice and soulless eyes. “Thanks I think”. Gulping the rest of the liquid he sighed fortunately, it was one of the best meals he had in years.

“Isis”. Looking at her in confusion and it made her sigh. Waving him away from what he just realized a small blanket with a jewel designed she grabbed it from under him. Folding the item and shoving it into her bag she turned back to him. “Isis”. “What is that, an Isis?” He asked as he struggled to stand up and groaned. Weight on his foot was the worst idea he had come up with.

Wobbling forward she grabbed him and handed him a thick stick from the ground to use. Still leaning on her she said it once more to his face. “Isis is my name”. He smiled and she slowly began to smile. It was wiped from her face and the emotionless face was masked on his face. “Its beautiful … Isis” He stressed her name out.

Pointing to her right and closed her eyes to show him she wasn’t going to play any games. “That Lyulf we need to get there to keep going, I am going to Melcher and I think it’s best if I go alone. “Not going to happen and you know it” Ramon retorted. “We in this together Isis till the end” He continued and she was baffled at his attitude.

Limping past her he began their new journey.

Story Excerpt: Medio Cocos - Nanowrimo 2013

Session 003

I saw my ex best friend at a fast food restaurant, my body filled with rage that I smacked her with a tray across the face. Nicolas pulled me away. No more chicken for me”

Dr. Salvador just sighed and sometimes believed he wished I no longer spoke.

She didn’t say anything except puta, puta, puta. That’s Spanish for bitch. The tray did hit her pretty hard”

Turning his head to the side he continued writing.

Why ex best friend?”

What?”

You referred to her as ex best friend not as friend you no longer hang out with”

She made lies about me, told everyone I was psychotic and that I wanted her pathetic life. Tried to take everything from me and tried stealing my life. It was her purpose to drag everyone down with her. One time Alice and I went downtown without her … she called us feigning a suicide attempt. Nothing but lies from her mouth.”

Do you hate her?”

No. Hate means I had to love her at one point. If she was on fire though, all the water would be in my stomach. Besides Nicolas and Alice made be her friend, biggest mistake in my life!”

Does she have a name?”

Rosa”

=

Rosa this is Ysabel my friend” Alice said as Rosa looked me over. She judged my messy bun, oversized grey hoodie and jeans. The black Nikes on my feet with the bright neon yellow laces.

We have Math and English together right?”

Yeah” I had trailed off because Nicolas was walking towards me with Leo. Nicolas gave me a dimple smile before wiggling his eyebrows. His face faltered as he got closer while Leo avoided the other girls. They both hugged me awkwardly and mumbled bye to the two girls.

You’re friends with them?” Rosa scoffed and rolled her eyes. Which were covered in heavy black eyeliner. Taking a good look everything she was wearing was draped in black, from her head to her toes. Short with choppy black hair and her face caked on with unnecessary amount of concealer.

Nicolas has been my neighbor since 4th Grade plus he is my best friend.”

He is my ex”

Oh. Sorry but not really.”

Time to go Ro we promised we would meet everyone at the bus stop. See ya Ysabel”

Bye Ali call me. Bye Rosa”.

Rosa didn't smile she just stared before walking away from me.

I should of known.

Breaking Down

After putting up some excerpts and recently winning a second contest. I decided to show you guys my paperback novel I published about a year and a half ago. My friend Kenrick teased me and said I am one lucky bunny. [I tend to win a lot of things!]

Synopsis

Charlotte Diaz can be described as sweet, cheerleader and Mental Hospital Escapee!

Excerpt

The cavern walls were seeping liquid ooze and dripped down onto cracks of the grounds which had purple steam geysers. She could tell she was no longer pregnant and this wasn’t obviously the hospital. She took a step forward and a grunt of effort slipped between her lips. A small hole led two different roads and she still had to follow the hums.

Was this point of Elliot’s plan? She didn’t understand his motivates was torture, blunt straight to the point this was more of a maze. Leaning against the walls her hands picked up the light green goo and she made a face. It was disgusting and made her cringe at the sight of it on her hand. Rubbing it against the silk of her gown and followed the hum again.

She really wished for her converse to be on her feet and sucked in her teeth. The ground was getting colder the further she walked and it was traveling up her body. “Vince? Danny? Mom?” She called and saw a light come from an opening down. She quickly hurried towards it hoping to be back with her family. Even if it was to fight Elliot she would have some type of clue where she was.
